One of the best restaurants in Las Vegas, particularly for a traditional Sichuan dishes. It can be spicy for some not used to the style of the cuisines from the area. But they have plenty of other non spicy options. But this will be a place where I will keep coming back.

I'm back yet again! This place is as authentic as it gets. The music is also authentic. New menu. They have a better one (with more pictures) online. There is bullfrog on it! For my drink , I'm having the Wong Lo Kat Herbal Tea. This is good ! Of course it has lots of sugars and carbs. For my appetizer, I'm having the Salt Fried Peanuts . These are new for me to try. These are delicious ! They are warm, fried and salty. Mike is having the Sliced Pork with Garlic Sauce. He said it is quite good ! For my entree, I'm having the Chopped Fresh Bullfrog with Baby Ginger. It is served bone-in. It's hard to describe the taste. It's kinda like a light-tasting chicken without the striated meat. I asked for one chili (heat level) instead of two chilis . This place can get rough let me tell you! It was very good but not a lot of meat as you might imagine. The sauce was very tasty too! I love this place!

I had a great opportunity to compare and contrast a couple Szechuan restaurants recently. The Wok in Reno and Chengdu Taste in las vegas. I'm just going to talk about Chengdu Taste right now. I absolutely love this place. The flavor packed into each of their dishes is really remarkable. The boiled beef dish that was described as mouth numbing could not have been more perfect. Mixed with beautiful veg and that sauce. When I asked the waiter what his favorite dish was he quickly said the Pigs Feet in sauce and so I added that to the mix. That dish was a girls collagen dream. Lots of nibbling around bones and the waiter had even warned me that I'd have to work around the bones. I just smiled at him and said I'm looking forward to it. I think k he was relieved. the cucumber dish. Although it may sound simple is just the most amazing cucumber dish I've ever eaten. I think they smash the cucs first. Whatever they do, it's just a perfectly balanced flavor and texture experience. Chocked full of garlic yet so satisfying. The Pigs liver and kidneys are a gourmet delight for ofal lovers. You won't catch me eating intestines but I'm pretty solid with the rest. I really need to work on being a bit more adventurous. Anyways, this dish is hearty, flavorful and very satisfying. By the time I'd dipped into all of these different dishes I was thinking dang, it's only 11:30 am but a cold beer would be SO good. They don't have an alcohol license!!!! Insert fat lip here... I read that they do an incredible take out service and I'm thinking now that I know why. This would not deter me from returning but it may be handy info for you. We were the only non-Asians in The restaurant until mid way through when a large group of very hung over dudes rolled in. It was the superbowl last evening so I'm sure they were celebrating into the wee hours. Anyways our dishes caught their eyes and next thing you know I'm explaining to them what we'd ordered and they seemed very excited about all the dishes. Pointing to each one with a "what's that" It was pretty funny really. The service is perfect and this unique little restaurant is beautifully appointed by original artwork painted onto the walls. Almost in a Trompe l'oeil fashion. The portions were very generous. Each dish would over feed two people so it appears I'll be revisiting leftovers with great glee!!!
